Hintadata groups store offers under a canonical product identifier. Search first, select the exact model and variant, and carry that identifier into current-offer, history, comparison, and watch requests.
Verify variants before comparing
Treat color, storage, pack size, region, and model generation as identity fields. Do not merge offers only because their titles look similar; inspect the normalized specifications and source evidence before making a pricing decision.
Handle uncertain matches explicitly
If search does not return a confident exact match, keep the product unresolved and review it instead of forcing it into the nearest result. This prevents a different variant from contaminating price history and alerts.
